Horse ride

Ideal for discovering the beautiful countryside surrounding 'Les crins de la Martinière', small paths, the edge of fields, forests, fords, lakes and rivers in a hilly and green landscape where you can come across animals.
Several possibilities whether you are a beginner or used to riding: 1 hour, 1 hour 30 minutes, half day or full day.

Horseback riding

It takes place over 2 or more days. The rider must be able to control his horse in all gaits (steps, trot and gallop), have the habit of riding because it must be able to hold between 4 and 6 hours on horseback.

Circuit Abbaye de la Clarté-Dieu

25 km
​On quitte le centre par des petits chemins en sous bois, puis on emprunte furtivement le GRP de Castelvalérie que l'on délaisse pour silloner à travers champs et vergers.
Un généreux pique-nique nous attend à la Clarté-Dieu. Possibilité de visiter les lieux pour ceux qui le souhaitent.
On reprendra notre chemin par une petite route avec des habitations troglodytes avant de prendre des chemins propices à de bons galops.

Circuit of Château-la-Vallière

35 km
A great hike to visit the country of Louise de la Vallière. We start in the countryside from the west to reach Château-la-Vallière, which we cross by taking an old railway line. View of the Val Joyeux then we biffurte towards the low forest of Château-la-Vallière to go to the valley of the mills. We ride east to pass along ponds that will lead us to the ruins of Vaujours. We'll go back through the high forest and St. Nicholas Chapel.

Randonnée châteaux de Champchevrier et Vaujours

It is advisable to arrive the night before to be sure to leave on time.

Day 1: We will ride through the hunting grounds to reach Champchevrier Castle. A beautiful little castle where Louis XIII stayed and which perpetuates the veneer and maintains packs of dogs running. Overnight at the cottage at the Martinière.

Day 2: We take the horses back to Champchevier to go more in the countryside. This will lead us to discover the ruins of the castle of Vaujours. Then we go back to the Martinère.

Hiking discovery of Lake Rillé

Il est conseillé d'arriver la veille au soir pour être sûr de partir dans les temps.

​Classé Natura 2000 et réserve ornithologique, un site magnifique s'offre à votre regard.

Jour 1: Etape de 32 km. On passe devant les ruines du château de Vaujours. Pause pique-nique chez un producteur de fromage de chèvres. Nous découvrirons une première partie du lac avant de laisser les chevaux dans un pré pour la nuit. Retour au gîte à la Martinière.

Jour 2 : Etape de 32 km. On récupère les chevaux à Rillé pour poursuivre notre tour du lac. Remontée par la basse forêt de Château-laVallière.
